Again, A Sign Of The Times. If someone simply takes their Own life these days, It may or may not even make a local paper. If anything, just an O-Bit saying someone, old or young, passed on. No sympathy, no recognition, no anything to bring attention to his or her perceived misery.

JMO but I feel the Media has an impact on the recurrence of these tragedies. Another Sign Of The Times ? Media Blitzes ?

Hope they knock it off before the Holidays.

Well, the media are vultures. Its been a bad year what with Va. Tech and now this nonsense. As far as o-bits, unless its something sensational that attracted alot of attention, the families of suicide victims usually don't want it put out there. I've known 2 people in my 48 years that have commited suicide. And both times it was very awkward. Even at the wake, no one discussed what happened. Just that the person was dead and how sad it was. Seems like the media communicates too often and the victims, perhaps, don't or can't communicate.
