I've had the in channel type for 7 years on one vehicle or another. I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts. They are Dark tine and I love them. Stick on or In Channel is a personal preference. Choose what ever makes you happy and you'll be satisifed.
IMHO the in channel type cut down on any wind noise and I've had both types to know. As far as installation goes, it could not be simpler to install the in channel type and if you ever get tired of them you pull them out and you don't have all the sticky tape on the paint to have to remove.
