Vehicle Identity theft?

I just saw this news story on the news, Vehicle Cloneing This is somthing I would have never thought of as a worry. Now not only do you have to worry about your own identity theft, but your trucks also. Basically they write down the VIN from one car, then use it to get fake titles for another similer vehicle and getting it titled in another state then selling it. Now there are 2 vehicles with the same VIN so they can both be considered stolen until proven which is the orginal. One more thing for everyone to look at for when buying there next used truck. :cussing:

Can you imagine the good that could be done if that same energy was channeled into doing productive things?

I've got one of those police union cards my neighbor gave me.......right over the VIN number on the dash.
