I'm taking my first out of state road trip on wvo on May 5th. SF bay area - Reno - Las Vegas - Lake Mead - Phoenix - Tucson - San Diego - LA - SF bay area. Looks like 2200 miles. I'll be gone just over a week BUT I will have to check in periodically. A week w/o SDD is too much to handle. :D

I'm sure you'll be loaded to the brim with fries in the tank but there's several locations in the Phoenix area to fuel up with BioDiesel if you come up short.
Our one way trips to AZ and Cali usually range in the 1,800-2,000 mile window:cool:

My plan is to carry enough wvo for the whole trip. Probably 140 gallons. Rear tank of 18 gal of B99.9 is start-up and shut-down fuel. There is bioD in Tucson if I need it.

So here's what I'll look like on the road. :D I know I'm bringing too much oil, but I plan on collecting more on my way home to be filtered once I get back. Burger joints and Chinese buffets...look out America here I come.

No can do. -mad
I'm at my GVWR. :roflmao
(Stephen...THAT'S A JOKE!!!)

I'm thinking now that laying the drums on their side with the tops facing rear is more stable. I'll still strap them together.

We do that. Actually had legs welded onto the sides of the drums, so you just set them in there and they won't roll or move around on the rubber mat in the bed. Works pretty nice... road trips are fun on VO.
