valve core question

Got a leaky valve core, the needle wiggles and is causing the tire to lose air. Question is are valve cores a standard size? A box of 4 is $1.99 at the parts store and they only have 1 size. I'd rather just replace that as opposed to taking the wheel off and going to the tire shop and dealing with them. Thanks

All car/truck tires have the same size valves in them. The only other size I have seen on a daily basis is a modern bicycle. And they do not fit the valve stem of a car/truck.

Did you try tightening it ? If Yes, then:

If you have an Air Compressor.. Jack it up.. let the air out.. remove the valve core.. go get the right size valve (in comparison) put a new one in. Air up the tire.. :dunno

No compressor ? take it to a local tire shop.. let them do... same as above.

fixed, replaced the core, turns out the needle was bent slightly and would not seat correctly, 3 minute fix for under $2.00. Thanks for the help.
