Years ago the performance clutch to have was the LUK. More recently guys have moved on to the South Bend Clutch. I am in the process of ordering up a clutch in preparation of some horsepower increases :watchout. While I was surfing I found there is a new clutch on the market. Anyone know anything about Valair Performance Series Clutches ? I was about set on a South Bend Con OFE but now I don't know. The Valair is a little cheaper and sounds to be just as good. Anyone know anything about them?

They offer Organic/Organic, Organic/Feramic, Feramic/Feramic, Kevlar/Kevlar, Iron/Iron and Ceramic/Ceramic for about any application. Since they are based in the Dallas/Ft Worth Area I thought some of you Texans might know something about them. Although fairly new to the performance diesel clutch scene, Valair has produced clutches for big trucks for years.

Five days no input... No one ever hear of the Valair?

I did some searching and found a few guys that have installed them and they seem to really like them.

Does that mean you're gonna give it a try? I'm interested to know if they are any good as well. Thing that concerns me the most is they started making clutches for big trucks. You don't disengage and engage the clutch on them as much as you do our trucks. I don't know if that's really anything to be concerned with, but it is on my mind.

Sounds like a good alternative. I've never heard of them.

Only thing that comes to my mind would be the clamping load. If it's too much the OEM hydraulics won't handle it since they are plastic.
