Vac pump pulley

Is the pulley on the vac pump just pressed on? Mine siezed today and I need to know how to get it off. New pump from the stealership 267 smackers w/o pulley. Truck dead on side of road.

Autozone carries them too and they are ALOT less money 64-1008 is the part #.

Yes the pulley presses on and off to answer your question.

Thanks Dale, Autozone didn't have one in stock, believe me I tried everywhere first!! Got the machine shop to do the pulley for me, as usual it did it at the worst possible time and in the worst possible place, and stopping that truck with no vac boost was a pucker factor of about 7. Oh well got 'er done so to speak.

Ok forgive this dumb question but what does the vac pump do on the 7.3? Other than boost for the brakes?
