I'm looking to by a none goose neck 18 to 24 foot tandem axle cargo trailer. Need your help. Will I notice the difference pulling one over the other? I'll be driving truck in my signature. .
Just an .03 Chris but.. I've always figured with a Pick-up towing a cargo trailer (yers having a Shell on it).. the air flow of a V nose, verses a flat nose.. wouldn't be that noticeable ? But.. they make'm.. so it's yer call ?
Seems that V area could be wasted space.. depending on yer use needs too ?
I do know when I pass one.. or meet one (V nose) it's a Heads-up.. Hang On Deal ?
Chris, you living down near Houston you should be able to find any trailer your looking for. I have never pulled a
V-nose, but have pulled a bull-nose and it pulled great. People that I have talked to who have the v-nose
campers love them.

I have pulled both. They were around 24 footers. With your topper I would go with flat nose. The v-nose I pulled seemed to pull harder. Maybe the air didn't like to be parted since it was already trying to go up and over. Likes been said you lose some storage in a v up front.
Thx all, next question.ive been looking at new and used trailers 20-24 ft -is there specific things I should look for to make sure it will haul a car in it. Multipurpose in the long run but is going to be used to trans port a car and packed with boxes for now. I've owned 6x12 single axles with rear ramp style doors but nothing that could have a car drive on like this.
If you going to be hauling a car or pickup make sure it's got two axles with brakes on both. Robert can tell you more than
I can about hauling a car or pickup. He had to take his car hauler back to the dealer and put bigger axles under it to haul
his pickup. When you have 15 in tires you have to do some shopping to get a good 8 or 10 ply tire that will haul the load,
and not blow tires every 200 miles. See what you can find with two 3800 or 4000 LB axles.

X2 on what Doug said. AT LEAST 16" wheels and 12+ ply tires.
A WD hitch too... with 4000lb axles minimum. A Sway Control set up ?
Most vehicle capable trailers will have a Weight Capable Certification data plate.. look for that too ?
If it's a Used one.. look underneath for damage.. frame/crossmember welds, broken springs etc.. How old are the tires..(the Build date on Each tire ?).(a New trailer too.)
LED lights are a nice option and make sure it has plenty of tie down spots in floor so you can get loads balanced. Some trailers have a built in beaver tail for a few feet in back to help load up low cars.
Search has narrowed down some, 8.5x24- all I have found have 5200lbaxles with 8ply tires, 48" Side doors, one company has z track tie down in addition to the standard 4 d ring tie downs- all seem to be market rate -new 6800.00
