(DAYS) x (HOURS Per Day) x (KWH Cost)= Cost per Month
Where does the 1000 watts the block heater draws fit in that? Is 1000 watts the same as 1 KWH? It makes sense as a K is 1000 right
If so then 30 days x 24 hours a day x .1383 is $99.57 a month. But then subtract that I am gone from home 108 hours a week so that would only leave 60 hours a week at home which averages out to 8.57 hours a day. 30 x 8.57 x .1383 = $35.55 a month. It takes me about 2 gallons of heating oil a day to heat the shop during the coldest months. 2 x $2.40 = $4.80 a day x 30 =$144 a month I think I better turn off the heat and plug her in...... Not I like the seat warm too
