Amsoil has a new oil for diesel trucks , CJ-4 formulated for the 2007 trucks.
I was wondering if this oil could be useful for avoiding clogging of EGR valves in our older trucks ie: 2003-04-05 , the 5W-40 synthetic is suppose to be capable of replacing the 15w-40 for summer time use.
By the way does anyone know who makes Ford oil?
Can ford cancel your warrenty if you don't use 10w-30 in the truck for the winter? For I would have preferrred to use a synthetic for the winter.
Not I always able to plug it in, tough starting at -20 C (-4) F.
Any way have a nice day folks. I would appreciate the input.

Thanks again Jim

i have been using a 5w40 synthetic and plan on using it year round. what i use is Valvoline fully synthetic 5w40 diesel oil. i don`t see any reason why it should affect warranty, hasn`t affected mine...i did know who made oil for Ford, but can`t remember now...hope this helps...
