I'm used to both, but voted metric. I think metric is easier for conversion between differnt units of measure as all is based on multiples of 10. My background is science and I work in a hospital and everything is metric, so I'm probably slightly biased.

I also think as for teaching younger people, the metric system would be easier to learn.

Just my 2 cents.

I was taught the metric system in school many years ago. The only thing that was a PIA was converting either one to the other. :dunno
