yes, but that was for the old trans on a 7.3, not a torque shift.

F350,I think your right on that. I just looked at that magazine add. The red truck pictured has a 7.3. You can tell by the badging on the side. So I guess it is sorta like picking a chip, exhaust, etc. There are two sides to this story. Some throw in some synthetic and have no problems. Other stick to the factory. I guess a question could involve those who switched fluids and then had a problem???

I recently changed mine, and an Amsoil dealer said use the factory fluid. His honesty and knowledge has earned him a customer. But even an oil dealer cautioned about using anything other than factory fluid. I wouldn't chance it.
