OK, doing alot of long overdue things. While the trans is out I took a look at the up pipes and sure enough there is some soot up there. Not a ton, but some. Has anyone tried the new IH versions with the bellows ? I have seen BlackWidow Diesel's. They also have a set ceramic coated for an extra $100.00.
I know it's a bit of cash, but these new ones do not use donuts, and I definately do not want to try and do this with the truck all back together.

Any experiences or comments are welcome.
Thanks

d.i. has a nice set up but for a grand, its hard to choke up that type of money. i replaced mine with stock pipes, donuts, and bolts all for less than 100 bucks. if i had to do it again, i would prob try the black widow diesels pipes. price seems to be fair for what ya get and probably not have to do them again. dont know anyone who has used them yet.

DI has their set listed for $425 (uncoated) and $495 (coated)
BW has theirs as $325 (uncoated) and $425 (coated)

Some people have been able to get the pipes from IH for about $290.

The bellows eliminates the need for the doughnuts since they allow for expansion and contraction from heating and cooling. The expansion and contraction is the only reason for the doughnuts.

sorry about the price mis-information. when i bought my gtp38r from d.i. back in march, i wanted to buy a set of them but they told me they were 1k for them. i couldnt see paying that much for them when stock parts were $100. now that i see the price has come down, if i need to redo mine, i definetly will get them since i like the way those are made better. one piece looks nice. real nice.
