Hey guys , I'm not a diesel ownwer (yet anyways) but have been looking at a 97 f-250 7.3 & don't know anything about them , but am a quick learner when it comes to mechanics . My question for any & evey one is , (this truck has 350000kms on it & the body seems to be in good shape) how much more kms till it would start nickle & dimming me ? What is a 97 powerstroke good for in kms ? What are things to look for when buying a diesel ? Thanks for all the help

For the metrically impaired the mileage is right around 217k

If the engine has been maintained well then you should get another 150,000km without too much problem and likely another 300,000km. Depends on what you consider nickle & dime items. routine maint on the PSD usually gives you 100kmiles on a water pump, and steering components (4wd) your front suspension bushings may need replacing which is not a cheap endeavor but the alternative is eating front tires.
