How did you determine the cap was bad? Mine seems to fit correctly but that may be because I do not know how it is supposed fit.

the new cap is great for a little while until it blows past 16 psi again.
the cap cant handle the heat after that to many times. a new cap is just masking the problem of a flash boil in the cooler or heads lifting.

Update

Got the flush done. I started by draining the radiator. It actually was clean and clear. I then added the VC9 and added distilled water and took it for a drive. When I got back I drained the radiator and this time it came out very dark. There was not in evidence of oil in it so I repeated the distilled water process three more times and it finally started coming out clean. Filled it back up with Motorcraft Gold but have not had a chance to drive it after the antifreeze fill up.

I have not had the chance to pull and clean the EGR valve so I am not sure how bad it is. I will try to take pics and post them when I do.

Another Update

Got around to pulling the EGR valve and cleaning it. The valve was dirty but not too bad and the build-up was dry. There was also no evidence of wetness, that I could see, in the intake. Having said all that, prior to pulling the EGR valve the coolant was puking out the degas bottle worse than ever. I hope it is just getting air out of the system but I am beginning to think I may have an oil cooler problem.

Time will tell. I hate to start messing with things if I do not know the problem becasue the truck runs GREAT! No smoke, even when cold, and no other evidence of a problem...at least to my eye.

BTW I was pulling a stock trailer loaded with calves each time it did the puking prior to the EGR cleaning.
