Yep, I read it. Although BIG JOE says that you can install the WW with the turbo in the truck, Bob Riley recommends pulling the turbo and I'm more inclined to go with Bob's opinion, since he's never steered me wrong before on anything I've bought from him. Besides, pulling the turbo gives me the chance to replace the pedestal O-rings which, if what I've read is correct, are bound to fail sooner or later and I might as well replace them while I've got the chance to do so at a convenient time. Where would I get the hump hoses? IIRC, the Banks intercooler hoses have the hump on them, but can you buy just the hoses and not the whole intercooler kit?
Also, have you (or anyone else, for that matter) thought if it would be worth it to have the hoses sent to Jet-Hot to be coated? The driver's side hose (hot side) has an insulation wrap on it and if having the tubes coated could eliminate it, I'd give it a real hard thought. The cosmetic advantages aren't lost on me either--while I'm not a "detail the engine" kind of guy, if something can be kept tidy and nice-looking while I'm at it, that's the way to go.
