so it seems there is no flasher per se. The lamp blink rate is controlled by a Smart Junction Box (SJB) and controls the flash rate at 80 blinks per minutes (bpm). When it senses low or no current draw then it flashes that particular light at a rate of 120 bpm. Since the LED bulb has very little draw, the SJB is sensing a blown bulb and blinking at 120 bpm.
I have read in one place that the SJB can be reconfigured to not monitor the bulb draw so that an LED bulb can be used. I have read elsewhere that the SJB cannot be modified and a load resistor must be inserted.
Anyone know which statement is true? Can I modify the SJB? If so any idea how?
