went huntin' this past weekend. Nothing came out after 2 hours in the blind. I was about to get down and go in for breakfast when 4 BIG gobblers came running up. I picked one out and shot it right through the craw. Came about 1/8" from blowing its beard off! His head flopped back and it danced around for a minute or two, then down. Was a well placed shot that severed the neck. Chicken fried turkey strips for dinner!

Rio Grande would be correct... Osceola's in the southeast... Merriam's where you are, and Easterns from the Missouri and Mississippi river valleys to the Atlantic above the Mason/Dixon Line into Canada

Bama - you have the right idea but our version goes - turkey cut in strips and chicken fried, cream gravy, garlic mashed potatos, homemade rolls, green beans and apple pie for dessert.
