turbo wheel

i have been told that if iinstalling a turbo wheel on my stock turbo is not a good idea because it will be out of ballance so does that mean i have to take the turbo to someone and have it ballanced if this is true?

Lots of guys have done it without rebalancing. Never heard of any problems. If it were me, I think I would, since there is a shop here in town that said they'd do it for $40, and i think that's worth it for the piece of mind. But do you HAVE to? No. The new wheels are balanced by themselves, and the shaft is, too, so together, they should be balanced just fine.

For What It's Worth. I have 75,000+ miles on an UN-rebalanced Turbo Compressor Wheel, that I istalled myself. No issues, what so ever.

But... Hoss's comment has some merit too.
