What types of turbo upgrades would ya'll suggest besides paying almost two grand for a new one? I have the stock one and there's nothing wrong with it, just would like to upgrade it. Is it even worth it? Thanks.

you could get a van turbo from beansdieselperformance.com. It wil lower egt's and is capable of supporting quite a bit more hp than stocker. i think it runs 800-900 bucks.

Depends on what you want to do with the truck.

If you add some power, stocker will start to surge. WW or ATS housing will fix that. Bean's van turbo or exhaust housings are a good way to go too. I'm thinking about a new 1:00 A/R exhaust housing from him.:D

I've seen the ATS housing and considering it, but never heard of the WW. I have a Volant intake, putting on 5" exhaust this weekend and buying a programmer in a couple weeks, probably bully dog power pup.

Just get the ATS housing and forgo the WW, You will be happier... The WW will acualy build less boost and is a waste of $$$ if you have the ATS housing...

It's a compressor wheel that the vanes are 2 different lengths. I noticed a certain vendor has trademarked the name that most people know it as. I will now refer to it as performance compressor wheel. It's a stock wheel on an early 99 turbo. The people with later turbos put them in to help with surge problems.

Thanks for the explanation.
