It looks like will be replaceing my turbo afterall. What are some good options? I'm just looking for something mild because this is a daily driven truck. What's the most affordable?

Stock? Pfft!
There are a few direct replacement turbos that will right on top of the stock pedestal. Turbonetics and Garret both make good drop ins. Check out some of the site's sponsors. You can also rebuild your stock turbo. Not much performance gain but much more friendly on your wallet.
