I have this problem with waiting around and my turbo might pay the price later on down the road. With everything stock, my EGT doesn't get much below 400F. So after a really...really...REALLY long minute after I see <400F, I shut her down. (BTW, the high for today was 80F with a frigid low of 68F, its so cold in Hawaii these days)

So I read diesel power all of the time and found an add for a turbo timer. Hey, that's what I need (now all I need is a motorized chair so that I can effortlessly scoot across the room to get the mag to let you know what kind it is...not gonna happen). I don't know how this thing pugs in but there are a bunch of wires all hooked up to connector pugs. Looks like it goes into the PCM. Will I still be able to get the SCT programmer with this thing in there? I was going to go with EDGE because of the turbo timer on it but it seems that SCT is the way to go. Can anyone shed some light on this.

Dont waste your cash... The wifes tale of waiting to turn off until 300 was with older oils and different trucks. Driving around town I turn mine off at... when ever I feel like it... Only time a watch the temps is after a long pull or something like that. Then by the time you have pulled into a parking spot your under 400 anyway... Spend your cash on something else!
