How long do you let it idle? I crank mine up sometimes to let it warm up for about 10 min and the highest it gets is about 200*

I have let it sit for 5 to 10 min. EGT dont go below 400* on a cool down. I have put a new prob. in and gage with know change. Maybe it will do better with the new motor being put in the truck.

Thanks NevrKnow. You're right, I forgot to write my chip in the sig. I have the DP F5 tuner also, with the same settings. I'll be sure to add it.

I'm about to go on a 3,500 mile road trip. So I should tune it down to stock to let it cool down at each stop. I've considered the Zoodad mod, but I have my truck in the mud too often to have a huge hole in my filterbox.

I keep the filter clean (I check it every time I'm cleaning up my off-road mess).

The local African-American population hates it when they have to drive their donk rims through my muddy mess when I'm done at the car wash hahaha

I had one on my 2004. It came pre-set to shut off when the temp hit 300*. I had it tied into the thermal-couple at the manifold. The instructions gave you a few options as to where you could tie it into.

You could also tweek the degrees if you wanted it to shut off at a lower temp.

It was pretty cool too. I would drive to a store and get out and the truck was still running.

About that time, some dude walked by it and it shut-off. I heard him say to his wife, "hey, did you see that? That truck stopped running on it's own"

That's pretty cool. Just curious, what does one of those fancy gadgets cost?

Is there any other maintainance that will help extend the life of my turbo? (it's an expensive part that I'd rather not replace anytime soon. Because they're expensive. And my measly government salary barely pays my bills as is :p

About 150.00 new. I bought mine on ebay for 106.00 used, but had never been installed, so basically it was new.
