Turbo timer???

My alarm (Code Alarm) Came with the option of a turbo timer. Is it a good idea to use this?? This is my first diesel and also my first time with a turbo.

My remote start has a button that sets a 2 minute cool down timer. I use it 90% of the time unless I just pulled in the shop. It is much easier on the turbo if it is not shut off when very hot.
