Was the high pitch whine happening when you were pulling a hill? I'm jealous that you had the time to go to Moab this year. I went last year and sheared motor mount bolts off in the block the first trail out.

When you had your foot in it what was the boost gauge reading? I get more than 30lbs. of boost pulling hills.

yes the boost was hi around 30, but the turbo was twice as loud as it normally is. i babyed it all the way home, actually i hammerd down once i hit oregon. where do your egts hit towing your trailer, and do you haul your crawler in your trailer?

The egts dont get over 1200 unless I'm pulling a hill and really hammering it. Open road driving it's 1050 to 1100 at 65-70. My crawler has full widths and wouldn't fit plus I don't think my father in-law would appreciate it since it's his trailer. I have a gooseneck deck over that I tow mine and a friends jeep on. I would check all your intercooler hoses and air filter clamps and make sure the tube that connects to the turbo are all secure and on all the way. My intake tube doesn't sit quite perfect where the rubber hose connects to the turbo and have to keep an eye on it.
