What should my 1996 7.3 boost from the factory? Also I have installed a super chips 120 hp program .K&N filter , 3-1/2'' down pipe plus I have done away with the resonatore and I can only get about 20lbs of boost
I also have regulated the map sensor to stop it from cutting the engine hp.

20#'s with the stock or with the chip? 20#'s is good on a OBS with no wastegate... With the tuner you should see about 25 or so...

with my edge set on race (80 hp) I barely get to 20#s and it will throw boost error codes that high too.

Start looking for a boost leak... You have a few boots that might need tightened. Also look at the up pipes from the turbo to the exhaust manifolds.

although my truck is still stock, a friend of mine had similar mods and a stock housing on an obs and was only seeing about 20-22

20 psi is about right on a stock injectored truck.

I see over 25 psi when I nail it, but I don't have an intercooler on yet.
Maybe when I get the IC put on the boost will be lower?

yeah adding an ic usually decreases your boost a few psi.
