It's supposed to keep your map sensor and ecu from seeing an overboost condition. I know on the 7.3's if the boost exceeds 22-25 psi it will set a overboost code and defuel the engine.
maybe some of the 6.0 guys will chime in and offer some advice on this product.

It's just a boost fooler. I'd be careful with it since the 6.0s had a problem with HGs to start with. You have an 06 so you should be ok, but just be careful. Yeah, it should create a noticeable difference if really get and stay in the throttle since the ECM won't De-fuel.
