Just wanted to pass on a good experience with this tranny cooler. With the stock cooler I was getting up to about 200 degs as indicated on my temp gauge when pulling around 68-69 mph. I didn't have time to install the cooler before my last camping trip, so I brought it along and did the install at the campsite! On the way home the temp never rose over 140, even doing the same mph on the highway. IMO the stock cooler was/is totally inadequate, I would run into high temps tooling around town after a run on the highway. It would start to push out fluid as it neared 200 degs. Now it doesn't push out a drop. Worth-while mod for $120!!

Good deal on the cooler Bill, I agree the stock cooler on the SD's was inadequate, the OBS trucks like mine were just as bad, I think the stock cooler on my F-350 was rated for 9000 lbs..... About two years ago I put the smaller version of the trucool on (I think the bigger one hadnt been released yet) and it does a great job.

But, dont run your tranny 20K miles on the same fluid. For about 60 dollars you can do a full flush and fill and filter change every 12 months, much better alternative than a 3000 dollar tranny.
