Don't know what those pictures have to do with the fuel pump?
The fuel pump is located on the drivers side frame rail. It's normal to hear a click or two when you turn the key to the on position with engine off.
You will also hear a noise from the passenger side inner fender from the vacuum pump.
With the key off drain the fuel bowl using the yellow drain valve on the back of the fuel bowl cannister. Before you do this you should follow the 3/8" steel drain tube to where it stops on the front of the passenger side of the block. Attach a tube to this and then drain into a bucket. Drain it until it's empty, then leave the drain open and turn the key on. If the pump is working then fuel will come out of the tube. The pump will only run for 20 seconds at a time.
