First would like to thank those who helped me in my truck purchase, a 2004 F350 Crew dually 4x4. I love it! I brought it in at 99980 miles for its last warranty checkup and they found some problems and fixed them. My problem now is it surges when I let off the gas. I found that my Air regulator guage ( the clear plastic one on the air filter is cracked. I suspect it was damaged at servicing but can't prove it. Would that cause it to surge? The dealer says I must purchase the whole assembly at over $250. Does anyone know where I could find just that part? Thanks in advance. Mack [email protected]

1st the dealer is in-accurate.
you can purchase the filter-minder...if thats all thats broken,
for about 25 bucks.
quite possibly hot coolant dropped on the filter-minder and cracked
it....mine cracked and thats the ONLY thing i can figure.
in my experiance the filter minder would NOT cause surging.
the only surging ive ever experianced is under steady throttle, when
either i or the dealer "over filled" @ oil change....check the oil level
on your dip stick...

Yeah i seem to have the same problem when I take off real had and come off the go pedel real fast i get the surge. Over filled oil?
