I would think then it's not likely a fuel related issue. Either wiring, IDM, PCM, or CPS, tho I've never seen the code you're getting myself. Doubtful you could have gotten 2 PCM's with the same problem, tho possible I suppose there could be another electrical issue thats blowing the PCM:dunno

Go over your wiring and connectors carefully... Double check every fuse with an ohmmeter. Sometimes feedback from another circuit does wierd things when it's fuse is blown.

Yaaaaa-hoooo, got ‘er running!!!! But getting CEL?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! to all who helped get me going again!!!

I went back this AM and doused the 10mm CPS bolt with Breakfree and let it sit for a couple of hours. While waiting I disconnected the fuel heater in the bowl at JOAT’s suggestion, then examined the wiring and checked all the fuses again. After opening up the HPOP to verify it was full, I went to get the 6 point socket, slid underneath, gave a tug on the 10mm, and out it came!

New CPS in and she starts right up, AND kept going! Ran rough, the CEL was on then went off and things smoothed out, so of course, I did the PSD Happy Dance, jumped in and DROVE!

Kept getting intermittent CEL several times, but otherwise when it went off, it ran fine, and definitely gets more go from Jody’s PCM than I got from the old PCM w/ Banks chip. I suspect that both PCMs are fine, and I’ll have to have a little discussion with the mechanic tomorrow morning before I pay him.

But back to CEL, a few blocks from home the CEL comes on and stays on. Drive home in limp mode, shut down and let it sit for half an hour, restart and CEL still stays on, engine runs rough. What could be the cause of this? What do I check next?

I Need my truck!

Many :thanks !!

Good to hear you're one the road to recovery!! CEL could be a couple of things. First I'd put the original PCM back in and see if that solves the CEL, if so you need to get with Jody.
If not then you need to start looking at wiring or lose connections, your mechanic may not have gotten things plugged back in tight. Also get a scan tool and see what codes it's throwing.

PSD Happy Dance...gotta remember that one :thumbs

I'm going to suggest you look at valve cover harness's for burnt pins again.
