I Have got a 1999 Ford F-450 with a 7.3. And I was going down the road and the truck turned off on me. Tried to start it and the truck cranks fine but does not start. The rpm tach is not moving or jumping at all while cranking and the wait to start light does not come on either with the key in the forward position. Went and got a new cps from Ford and put it in and still same thing. What else should I check? Thanks for the help.

Check fuse #30(?), it's the PCM/fuel bowl heater fuse.

If it's blown, unplug the wire for the fuel bowl heater, replace the fuse, cross your fingers and try it.

Checked fuses all are good. But did notice that the fuel pump is not coming on either. What size would fuse (30) be?

look up in the search for fuse 20 if yours is not a 99.5 and later. What I have read and discovered is that the fuel heater is connected to the main computer and will not let it start. Mine died in the driveway a day before Christmas and would not start. Does the wait to start light come on? If not then you probly have a fuse blown somewhere....
