We're new to this forum.....

While driving on the highway yesterday, the truck (6.0 2005 F350 CC DRW) was losing power, then it would come back. The RV Park was only 30 miles away. (We're trailering a 37 Foot 5th Wheel Toy Hauler).

No other indication anything was wrong, all temps were good. Everything on the guages was all within good limits.

We get 300 feet from the RV Park and the truck died...went kaput !!!!!

We get towed to the RV Park and opened up the hood. The Coolent Container was full of engine oil. There is oil all over the place in the engine compartment.

Looks like we get towed to Ford in the morning. Anyone else have this problem? :dunno

new one on me...check the dip stick...got bubbles on it ? i would
expect you would (antifreeze/coolant).

sounds like blow head gaskets at a min. & having driven it any distance
w/out proper lubricant & coolant id say the motor could be trashed...

hard to believe the temp guage or oil pressure were "fine"...
id think youd have seen elevated temps.

are you CERTAIN theres oil in the overflow/degauss bottle ? or just
on the outside ?

could be that your intercooler tubes slipped off...no weird sounds
before any of this happened ???

how many miles on the truck ?

To lose and regain power like you said you were sounds strange to say the least. I wonder if you were having troubles with the VVT (turbo) and possibly you ruptured an oil line which would explain the oil all over the engine compartment.

The truck has 45,000 miles on it.

Definitely oil in the coolent bottle. No weird noises. No over temps. And the loss of power was just barely noticable.

We run a three guage pod with a pyro, turbo boost and tranny temp. All temps were normal.

No smoke came out. No Noises. No Nothin !!!

When we opened up the coolent bottle cap, it was loaded with oil.

BTW: where are you broke down at?

how is the oil cooler? you may not be able to SEE it, but if you have cracks in the oil cooler housing you will get oil in the coolant. only way to trace it is with dye.

either way, as bad as it sux, i am guessing that you are still under ford road side assitance, that is propably your best bet to get help at your location.

you said you had gauges? chip or tuner? PULL/CLEAR those too before you get to ford- save yourself the headache.
