Someone tried to get into my truck about 4 weeks ago. Lucky the dogs got me up. I saw what was about to happen and ran out the back door and around the house with my tactical shotgun with slug rounds in it. The guy took off running. Cops picked him up about a hour later. Thanks to night vision camera sitting in the camper they knew who it was.

Hope they didn't steal anything of value that insurance can't replace. Guess I'm to used to small town rural living and usually don't even take my keys out.

Well.........got the truck fixed today. The rear door handle works fine on the drivers door eliminating the key hole. Next thief will scratch his head for a second......then break the window. Oh well......at least maybe the insurance will pay for it next time. :)

I was also a broken into a few months ago, thank God I don't keep my gun in the truck like I should or that would be gone for sure. All the bastards did was go into the center console, and found nothing. I have a Python alarm, and it was heard buy the kids pulling in shopping carts but they ignored it, so what I've done is installed a 120db siren inside the truck, so when the alarm is going off, you can't stand it because this thing is really ear piercing. Now I park the truck next too our gas station, becasue we have an attendant that is there during business hours.

Just as long as you're not like me...I have a tendency to occasionally bump the panic button on my remote when my keys are in my pocket and I'm in unusual positions, like bending over to change a fuse under my steering column. THAT would scare me right out of the cab, probably bashing my head on the steering wheel and B pillar on the way out! :lmao

I had a Python alarm in my 04 and had it hooked up to the train horns worked great.

Jimmy Jammers? Never heard of them. I need to check those out. I also like the idea of the 120db siren in the cab. :)

check out their website...

jimmi jammers are basically steel plates that attach to the door handles so that the handle cannot be pulled away from the door. it also comes with a hose clamp that goes around the lock cylinder to prevent the whole cylinder from being punched in.

I think they work pretty well.

Tbar: I had the same thing happen to my truck. With parts, it cost $300 to put it back together. They punched the lock and were in and out in about 15 seconds. Bad part was contents they got. I have an alarm with starter interlock, but didn't have it on. I too wish Ford had a solution to this easy entry.

This is what I have. My air horns are on a switch so that I can use the stock horn or air horns. When the alarm goes off and it's lined up for the horns it hurts.
