Trouble Starting?

After my truck sits for awhile I have trouble starting it. It cranks over fine, but just doesn't want to start. There is a clicking come from the dash during cranking. Does anyone know what this is??? It takes a few tries but it eventually starts. Going to have the batteries tested is a bit, alternator replaced a few months ago ( battery light is NOT on).

I'm thinking GPR (glow plug relay). It's ~$45 at the IH dealer and it takes maaaaaybe 10 minutes to change out (including time to drink a beer).

sounds like the same thing mine's doing... does it cough, and belch up a big cloud of white smoke when it finally fires?

No, I had the batteries, starter, alternator tested yesterday and they all tested fine. I made sure to clean the battery terminals very good as there was a lot of acid build-up. After sitting for about 14 hours, it fired right up this morning, no problem. Still going to test the GP and GPR later today.
