A Good Run.

2,645 miles total from Driveway to Driveway. 52 hours of drive (engine) time. Averaged 11.4 MPG's, at 60/70 MPH with our 10K 5'r in tow.

Took I-40 & I-25 out.. I-70 & I-15 back. This 6.7 pulled All the grades over the Rockies with ease. The Ride and Comfort Was Super. I'm impressed. :sweet:sweet

One thing: I used the "M" Trans mode, and brakes, for down grades... (I don't like the high RPM's in Tow/Haul). 5th gear and light braking did the deed down grade, 4th & 5th climbing worked great... at My call.

Despite the Wind, Rain, T-storms, Hail and Tornado warnings.. we had a Real Good Time ;)

Life Is Good. ;tu;tu

(we were traveling with friends... Similar 5'r.. pulled by a 012 Dodge (Cumminz)... Over All (?) He was hard pressed to keep up.. thru the hills:sly)

Ya.. he did okay on the flats but with 3:42's.. He said it kept hunting/shifting a lot. I told him to anticipate the grades.. and down shift.. to get some power & torque built.. he tried that.. seemed to do a little better.. On the way back. Thee old: "Build a Fire & keep it Stoked" thing... rather than wait for the PCM to gather data ?
