I haven't called home in a week or so and wonder if any of that water is filling up the Neches River. Usually, at this time of year, Rayburn is really low and the people there with lake houses get mad because they have to walk an extra 20 feet to get to the water. Well I'm sorry rich people but we kind of damed up that river so that we could keep the salt water from sneaking up into out drinking water down in Beaumont, which is the center of the universe by the way. Anyway, if Rayburn is full then the fishing in the Neches would be terrible since the fish will be up in the swamps and leaving my dad with nothing to do. At least the weather is good over here. Got to see some reds tailing this evening and if I get my trolling motor batteries replaced, I should see them again tomorrow.
If anyone of my fellow Texans get trapped on ya'lls roofs, try to get a hold of me and I'll see about going over yonder and giving you a lift out of there with my boat. I can get through with only 8" of water so I should be able to get to you.
