Can anyone tell me if there is a place to install the tempeture sending unit in the transmission of a 2000 f250 7.3 other than in the pan drain hole?

Caution!
Pay particular attention to the comment in dboyw's link about "Install the new, shorter #2259 (shown at right of image vs. included & longer #2258) sender into this port. ** The reason for the shorter sender, is that the longer one may bottom out in this port. If you choose to use the longer sender, you will then have to modify the pan to accept a 1/8”NPT thread size."
I bottomed a sensor out in my '99 and broke it inside the tranny about 4 years ago before this warning was published.
