I didn’t wait long. It was once a month at first, but once it went to a couple of times per week I started looking at it.
My thoughts were the valve body would be changed in a rebuild anyway. I can change it for significantly less than what a mechanic will charge. Worst case, I changed the valve body and it didn’t fix the problem. One less thing to do when the mechanic does the rebuild. The only money I’m out is fluid costs if it didn’t fix the problem. Way cheaper and easier than doing a rebuild and pulling the transmission to change clutches, etc.
