what the maximum temp the trans should see on an 06 6.0?? reason i ask is im setting up the warning lights on my livewire

mine always runs between 180 and 190.... i think 210 is when you should start lookng things over.... there was a discussion on here about this awhile back...

At 210 you need to start looking for why it's getting that hot.

i had a trans out of a 04 f450 the other day for a blown up low reverse one way sprag.put it all back together.flushed the cooler and road tested it.the temp spiked to 235 degrees on a 40 mile road test.found the trans cooler restrickted totally,replaced the cooler and on that same road test,running 75 mph,the trans temp never got over 160 degrees. i agree with the 160-190 temp range.

i posted wrong up there... mine runs between 150-160... anything over 200 is probably a lil hot
I had an Alert light setup on a 6.2 (Pig) Van. I set it @ 195* to git my attention. Pull'n hard I made it flicker a'couple times.. which is just what I wanted/needed it to do..
I'm think'n thats about the right Highest.. Working Temp, for any Auto trans. Over that.. yer headed fer trouble ?
