Mighty Whitey has developed the strange habit of loosing a gallon of trans fluid only when towing the horse trailer..

place your bets.

I'll tell you the answer after I crawl under it tomorrow (too blazin' arse hot to do it today)... :dizzy

I'm with you sagebel. That's probably the weakest link in that chain. Cooler or lines. Specially if there's an aftermarket cooler added we don't know about yet.

is it time for a new tranny?:sly

at 138,000 it may be.

I don't have the $5000 to drop on a BTS unit...

gonna have to either pull it and fix it myself (not likely given current time of year) or let my buddy Joe do it for $3000 (been building transmissions as long as I can remember)

thing is, I don't have the three grand either.

soooo

i had a friend that had his tranny do it when pulling in 4wd low a heavy horse trailer full of hay in the field. both times he lost all the fluid. Please let me know what you find. My bet is heat and a small cooler?
