1200.00 for the suncoast tc  My pony just fainted. I went to UCC but they didnt post any prices. Im getting scared. Well ill keep looking for a cheaper one, if i cant find one i might just be installing a cooler, tugger kit and a prayer for this band aid to hold up.

Does it perform the same as stock[stall low/high] or does it feel the different?

The stock Ford TC for the '94-'97 PSDs have a stall speed of between 1300-1600 rpms. The aftermarket TC companies like UCC.COM (that 95_stroker has) and PDQ (that I have) beef up the TC with upgraded parts and lower the stall speed to 1100 or 1200-1400 rpms. The advantage is more torque. I've driven with an upgraded TC for the last 100K miles (During my rebuild I had a the same model heavy duty TC replaced) so I don't remember what a stock TC feels like. Be prepared to pay more for these upgraded converters.

A cheap alternative for the impatient and those with stock injectors is the converter used in the superduty trucks it's just slightly beefier than ours and holds up for about 100k under normal useage on a chipped stock injectored truck. They run about 300 from the dealer.

The stock 4R100 TC has a higher stall speed than the stock E4OD TC.
