sounds like a intermitant solinoid, it is controlled by the confuser did you get any codes? a bts is a great tranny but you should check with a local tranny shop you trust and see how much it will cost to overhaul, i had mine built by tim holt at eagle transmission in denton, modded fwd pump, added clutches, billet TC, rebuilt and running good and under waranty for 2500 i am putting clise to 350 RWHP down and the tranny works like a champ. let us know what you decide on or find.

with that many miles try the valvoline high milage tranny oil i have heard good things and it is priced realistic.. be sure to change the filter... and if you tc does not have a drain plug then it is best to just have it done at a shop you trust for $100 it not worth just changing oil in the pan.

Definitely change the filter while you have the pan down John,it'll only be like an additional $20 for it and you'll have the good feeling knowing it's done.

Just about time for us to change the fluid/filter on ours as we just passed 50k on the odo.

Well i just had some thing simaler happen to me. The trans in my X wet out from to much hp add ons. I had it rebuilt by John Wood and he is one of the best that you will ever find, just ask around. It was a little more but you get all the best and the warranty is the best you will find also its 3 years 30,000. You will not get that anywhere else.http://www.jwtt.com/ I know its a bit far for a lot of you but hey i drove 260 miles and left my X there for almost a month and ill tell you what i have never be so happy with a job so well done. The guy knows all there is to know about a trans. He dose every thing you could ever need for 6.0, 7.3, trans he even puts a nice toggle switch in for the torque converter so you can lock it up when towing or going up long up hill runs.He is very hard to get a hold of but he will call you back if you leave him a name and # to get back to you. hope this helps someone .
