Tranny Problems!!! What did I break...

Got a few minutes on the tranny. Even without comparing side by side you can tell the teeth are sheared. Fortunately this clutch pack is not adjacent to a planetary, so what little tooth was left when it sheared just went to the pan.

direct would have been my guess the other day if not for you stating all the shifts were there. I see this on all high mile units, the engine harmonics beat these things to death.

Yeah, it was wierd. There was a small speed increase where 3rd shifted, but then the RPMs went much higher in 3rd and 4th. If I switched OD off it downshifted, but not as far as second gear.

I can see where saying it lost third makes sense, but it's not a very complete description to me...More like it lost part of the ratio 3rd gives
