Tranny "Problems" maybe?

UPDATE: when I am on the throttle at a steady rate and I engage the turn signal without locking it in place it upshifts. Does this narrow down my search any?

possibly a shorted or a bare wire in the column....

Get up to speed on the highway then turn on your four way flashers.... does it repeat the problem?

I checked the tail light bulbs and found my drivers side brake light was burned out. I replaced the bulb and that fixed the problem. I really appreciate all the help you guys gave me. But I have one more question: why did a burnt out brake light cause my tranny to do that stuff??

The PCM is programmed to unlock the TC when the brakes are applied. A burnt out bulb simulates this.
