I ran that exact tranny pan on my 02 except mine was made be derale. I ran it, re-routed the tranny lanes out of the rad, retaining the factory cooler and then used two aftermarket tranny coolers with a pusher fan up front right behind the grill. As hard I drove it, even in on the hot summer days I hardly ever saw tranny temps over 150*.

The general rule of thumb is if you increase your fluid volume you should also increase your cooling capacity as well.

The question here should be, in reallity the tranny pan is helping or not? because you have TWO aftermarket tranny coolers with a pusher fan and ratained the factory cooler :dunno
And I know that is better to conserve the radiator cooler than to retain the factory cooler (in OBS, I really dont know in superduties :sorry) ;tu

I agree DOC.....need to see if anyone has ran ONLY the deeper pan and get their input. BUT the extra coolers being added is also something I will do, but would like input/thoughts on the pan alone. And needing a bigger pump to pump more fluid,,,,maybe someone can enlighten me, I mean...you'll still have the same flow rate but more in the resevoir. You would infact slow down the exchange rate,NOT the flow rate.....but have added cooling from the flow thru tubes in the deeper pan right?

Save your money and use the stock pan. Take the money you saved by keeping the stock pan and put it into a better tranny cooler.;tu
