tranny leak in 95 7.3

Hello,

Ive got a 95 7.3 2wd with a auto trans leak at the bell housing. Anyone out there have any info on the repair. Im going through a quart of fluid every 300 to 400 miles. It shifts and runs fine as long as fluid level is up. I havent pulled the small cover off yet but figured Iv'e got to get a plan soon or park her yet again. Is this a matter of dropping the trans and replacing seals or is it much more painful? Any help is appreciatted.

your problem is the torque converter seal. They get brittle with age and/or heat. not a big deal to replace just the time to R&R the trans and a $8 seal.

I hope thats all it is. Im gonna pull the tranny this weekend and hope thats it. Thanks for the help Brandon...Tim
