Trailer Insurance????

where or what insurance co. do you guys use to insure your trailers????
what would I excpect to pay a month. and does the stuff I haul get coverd too???

Depends on the trailer...

With State Farm, my 28' travel trailer costs about $145/year for theft/fire etc...

My utility trailer is covered under the policy of the vehicle towing it for pl/pd, no extra insurance required. It would quickly cost more to insure than to replace.

Cargo trailer / Work covered for everything including contents for 130/yr (citizens) There's anywhere from 8K -12Kworth of tools and materials in the cargo at a time.

they have to have their own theft insurance

My flat bed steel decked 18' car trailer runs about $75/year. State Farm. Valued at $4500.

State Farm here too. $16/yr for my 12 ft utility and $60/yr for my 20' steel deck PJ hauler. I started buying the insurance when I had one stolen out of my driveway about 6 years ago.

I had 5000 content coverage for an enclosed 16', trailer was under my commercial pak. Ran 125 -150 year. figured if someone swiped the tools 5000 would not get everything back but at least get me going again.

State Farm insures everything I own. I can't recall how much the Travel Trailer runs though.

thanks guys I finally switched to state farm, and had the trailer coverd too. it was only 30 bucks all year. the lady also saved me a truck load of money too on the truck insurance.
