Okay--synthetic vs. mineral??? Some questions:

Can you go "123" from mineral to synthetic? Is there anything special that needs to be done BEFORE you switch over to synthetic? :dunno

Can you do the same thing for the transmission--switch over right away from mineral to synthetic? :dunno

Does how you switch over depend on your engine/age/mileage of your truck?? :dunno

Changed to Syn (Rotella-T) at 40K. Changed it again 1K later cuz of the Dino left in the engine (Purged).I have a Premo refiner so I change the 2 filters and add 2 qts every 5K. Change it all every 20K.

Been running dino since we took delivery in 02 but if the next Blackstone shows lead over the average I'll probably switch up to synthetic.:sweet

I use synthetic oils in all my trucks, it does get expensive, but well worth it. I noticed the switch in engine tone from conventional to synthetic in the 6.0 liter not as much in the others.
