On my 2006 F-250 SD I am getting that steering wobble at times. I have read that the track bar being worn out causes this. I see from my research that a replacement can run anywhere from 300 to oh crap. What have you guys used and why. I don't do a ton of towing but don't want to replace it again in six months if in fact that is the problem.
Thanks

Death Wobble is caused by worn out ball joints in the steering and suspension. The track bar has little to do with Death Wobble. Jack up your truck's front tire about an inch. Grab the top and bottom of the tire and push the top and pull the bottom. Then do the opposite; push the top and pull the bottom. Any movement? YES = bad joints. Replace them all. Steering tie rods also.

I tried on everything at the front on the truck and everything is tight. I only start getting the wobble after about ten miles of driving and it will stop and not do it again for 40 miles or more. Road conditions do not cause it. Could it be a hubby assybly?

I hate the spell check on these things. I meant hub bearing assy.

The track bar was the cure for my 04 F250 on 40's
It is the one with heim joints at both ends from Read Lift.
Yeah, they are $300 but a small price to pay for safety
